Sunday Brunch

Sunday brunch is something of a weekend ritual for many, and the Penny Black restaurant on Fulham Road is the perfect spot to dine on delicious British dishes and smoothies / coffee / a Bloody Mary / champagne / wine or whatever takes your fancy! And it's a great place to have relaxed catch ups with friends.

There's no shortage of eating places in South Ken, Chelsea and Fulham, but the Penny Black stands out from the others as it's a smart, sophisticated restaurant which is ideal for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner, no matter what time of the day.

The brunch menu is short and sweet, but includes a variety of dishes such as buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup and bacon, 3 egg omelette, eggs benedict or royale, mushrooms, cognac cream, eggs and potato rosti or the classic 'Penny Black' breakfast, which is English bacon, eggs (any style), Cumberland sausage, mushrooms, tomato, bubble & squeak and sourdough toast. Certainly enough to keep you going for the rest of the weekend!

By the time we left, most of the other diners had ordered from the Sunday lunch menu. It's no wonder they all had such big smiles on their faces, looking at the scrumptious meals which they were enjoying (the Sunday roast in particular looked incredible), coupled with friendly service and sleek surroundings.

Rain Rain Go Away

With the constant downpours which we've experienced in London over the past month (yes, you read that right .... month!). It got me wondering. How do others cope when the heavens open from above?

London Love

Having survived eight UK winters and being granted British Citizenship this week, I thought it only appropriate to dedicate today's post (especially after such radio silence!) to one of the greatest cities in the world, and one which I'm fortunate to call 'a home away from home'.

Versace for H&M Cruise Collection

The Versace for H&M cruise collection went on sale this morning (and sold out within minutes!). Fortunately my persistence paid off, and I managed to purchase 2 items (not shown below).

Despite the cool temperatures and lack of beach / pool action here in London at the moment, I can't help but get excited about the instant style update to my spring wardrobe, with light, feminine pieces with berries and butterfly prints on dresses, tops, sleepwear and accessories.

Here's Aussie model Abbey Lee Kershaw sporting some items from the collection:
